As you walk and climb along the park trail, you realize you are walking up and down terraces created by the Maya. You will pass altars, some carved structures in the limestone walls of the rock shelters, and some altars created under jutting overhangs. Explore the niches, crevices, and small caves in the limestone along the trail, and see large pots and other artifacts left by the Maya at this location.
