Volunteers are requested to donate $XX/day to their host families to cover meal costs.
The time and effort of the volunteers is the main donation and is much appreciated by the Village of7 Miles El Progresso.
However, donations of other kinds to assist in the volunteers’ efforts are also appreciated, and include but are not limited to:
- Books, both for the schools and for the village library
- School supplies
- Backpacks/Book bags
- Children’s shoes
- School furniture or the supplies needed to build furniture and shelves
- Materials needed for repairs and maintenance at the schools such as such as screws, nails, and handtools
- Tools for farming and Park maintenance
- Farming and household detergents and chemicals, especially environmentally friendly products
